Pakistan institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences (PIPOS) is a premier & pioneer institute in the field of Prosthetic and orthotic Sciences in Pakistan.
The Institute is offering BS degree Program in Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences from Khyber Medical University (KMU) which is globally accredited by international Society for Prosthetics & Orthotics (ISPO).
The faculty members, staff and facilities at PIPOS are amongst the best in the country, and will help the students immensely in their endeavors.
It is indeed an honor for us that our competent and talented graduates are serving various organization across the country and abroad on key positions.
Besides training and education PIPOS is committed to provide high quality patient services in the form of Prostheses (artificial legs and hands) and orthoses (braces and splints). For this purposes the institute maintains a state of the art model Laboratory providing consultation, assessment, designing, prescription and manufacturing of assistive devices and training to thousands of patient annually.
Our vision is to make PIPOS an internationally recognized institute in terms of provision of quality education in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics, research and provision of high quality advance prosthetic and orthotic services to the person with disabilities (PWDs) in order to produce young competent graduates and improve the quality of life of PWDs respectively.
As a Chairman Board of Management (BOM) PIPOS my first and foremost priority is to initiate the Master degree program in Prosthetic and Orthotics, initiation of diploma program in lower limb prosthetic / orthotics, capacity building program for faculty members to improve their qualification and skills, developing of collaboration with national and international organization, Research and development program for faculty, staff and students and utilization of Gait Analysis lab for research purposes.
Today we are challenged with various types of disabilities reflecting into poverty, social and economic issues. Prosthetic and orthotic center are expected to play a vital role in the growth of knowledge. Management of resources and inclusion of persons with disabilities in the mainstream of life.
Hence it is a time to look back to all that has brought us to point, and to look ahead to the fulfillment of our ambitions. It is a time to recognize both individual excellence and the common investments that enables us to flourish and lead our societies to create better lives for all in this rapidly changing world.
It tells us that the time has come to payback the debt we owe to our people, province, and country.
