To write few lines for pioneer and leading institute of Prosthetic and Orthotics Sciences in Pakistan is always immense desirable and privilege for me. I am proud to be member of PIPOS, and 1st batched graduate. I served this prestigious institute since 1993, on different positions as lecturer, Assistant Director, Assistant Professor, Project Director and Managing Director. PIPOS is affiliated with Khyber Medical University Peshawar for BS program and for diploma with Medical faculty KPK and internationally with ISPO (International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics). Its graduates are heading almost all the departments and rehabilitation centres in prosthetics and Orthotics in Pakistan and working in Arab states and some other countries across the world. PIPOS works with world known organizations i.e International Committee for Red Cross (ICRC), WHO, USAID and ISPO to rehabilitate PWDs. PIPOS established 13 rehabilitation centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and thousands of patients has been
rehabilitated and integrated in the society. PIPOS is rehabilitating PWD’s in the collaboration of leading federal and provincial government entities such as Bait-ul- Mal and Sehat-Sahulate program of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Whereby, free of cost prosthesis and orthosis are being given to poor PWD. Insh Allah PIPOS will be remained leading in education in Prosthetics and Orthotics and rehabilitation in the country. Master in prosthetics and Orthotics will be commenced in near future. I believe in discipline, trainings and development of students and
professionals as well for making a beneficial asset of society. It is my dream to see PIPOS stable and sustainable institute and it will come true
because of sincere efforts of chairman and members of the PIPOS, Board.
