TRAINING & EDUCTION

PIPOS provides 04 years training and education leading to Bachelor of Sciences (B.S) degree in Prosthetics & Orthotic Sciences awarded by the Khyber Medical University, internationally recognized by the ISPO (International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics) as Cat-II. The course comprises of 08 semesters. On average 12-16 students are enrolled each year including male and female candidates selected on merit from KPK, and merged districts and also other provinces of Pakistan. Currently 56 students are enrolled and under training at PIPOS under this program.

Besides the 04 years B.S degree course, PIPOS has also been affiliated with the Medical Faculty for the two years Diploma course to either disciplines of Prosthetics or Orthotics. The Diploma course is specifically designed for the training of technicians/bench workers to enhance the availability of indigenous technical /skilled human resources for the manufacturing of assistive devices all over the country. At the moment 30 students are enrolled and under training at PIPOS under this program.
